“ANNI” | Open All Ports | Connecticut College

Multimedia Performance Installation at Open All Ports

ANNI (Archival Narrative Network Initiative) is a commissioned multimedia performance for Open All Ports. The Ammerman Center hosts the 15th Biennial Symposium on Arts and Technology in New London, Connecticut.

ANNI is a transmedia artwork combining an interactive public installation, live performance, and online exhibit. The installation will collect audio via an artificially intelligent time capsule interface, which converses with participants about the nature of humanity. The audio recordings will then be mixed live into a multimedia dance performance. ANNI presents a speculative science-fiction narrative and an experimental, mini-documentary about the community and moment in which it is performed. The piece explores questions of consciousness and control over the curation of information, the gulf between digital data and embodied human experience, and the value of intuition in identifying signal in the noise.

This event, hosted by Connecticut College, is free and open to the public.
