Dance/USA will host its 8th Annual Conference in Austin, TX from June 8-11, 2016. Participants include executive directors, emerging arts leaders, presenters, agents, and artists; nearly 500 individuals associated with the professional dance field will convene for networking, creative conversation, enriching training sessions, discussion on important issues facing the field, and performances.
ARCOS Director Eliot Gray Fisher is honored to be an Opening Plenary speaker at the conference. The panel also includes Ron Berry (Fusebox Festival), Sandra Organ Solis (Artist, Teacher), and Prakash Mohandas (Agni Entertainment). Berry will moderate a discussion between Organ Solis, Fisher, and Mohandas, an all Austinite line-up. Each of the speakers represent an area from the programmatic elements of the Conference: financing dance, technological change, and the social responsibility of dance. The speakers will kick-off the Conference on Thursday, June 9, 2016 from 11:00am- 12:30pm CT at The Long Center for the Performing Arts. The Opening Plenary will be live streamed; more information for where to tune in is forthcoming. Each speaker will once again take the stage at the Closing Plenary on Saturday, June 11, 2016 from 12:00pm- 1:00pm CT at Ballet Austin to share their experiences from various programming sessions at the Conference.
