ANNI, part of our transmedia performance Domain (domain.arcosdance.com), will be open at the Museum of Human Achievement in Austin, Texas.
ANNI (the Archival Narrative Network Initiative) is an interactive installation exploring the rapid evolution and impending ubiquity of artificial intelligence. The installation collects audio from its interactions with participants while tailoring highly individualized responses to short conversations about the nature of humanity. ANNI provokes questions about consciousness and control over the curation of information, the gulf between digital data and embodied human experience, and the value of intuition in identifying signal in the noise. The installation will also travel to Kansas City, MO, Billings, MT, and San Marcos, TX through September.

Conversations are secured on a first-come, first-served basis while ANNI is on display at the Museum of Human Achievement (3600 Lyons Road, Austin). Reservations encouraged but not required—visit her between 6-9 pm on July 1 and 2.
