ARCOS is thrilled to welcome movement provocateur Sidra Bell back to Austin! This 5-day MODULE Satellite project will have limited capacity in addition to other COVID-19 safety protocols. We thank you all in advance for doing your part to keep our communities safe so workshops like this can happen.
This MODULE Satellite Project will take place at the new home studios of Ballet Afrique at 1050 E. 11th Street, Suite 150. In addition to the professional MODULE Satellite, Sidra will spend time with Ballet Afrique students and members of their professional company.
ARCOS has worked hard and adaptively throughout this pandemic to continue bringing relevant professional development opportunities for dance artists to the Austin community. The virtual format allowed us to offer all of our Training + Development programming by donation for more than a year (Re/Training, Virtual mini-MODULE with Sidra Bell, UNtensive with Practice Progress, and our weekly Class + Coffee series).
*While moving back into the physical realm comes with more expenses, ARCOS is committed to accessible opportunities for independent artists. We are open to a range of financial options on a case-by-case basis. If the cost of tuition is financially prohibitive for you, please contact us at a@arcosdance.com to discuss options.
ARCOS is committed to reparations and the redistribution of wealth in our home community of Austin. In collaboration with our host organization, Ballet Afrique, we will identify a local organization led by folks representing the global majority working for equity, and forward half of all tuition received from the MODULE Satellite Project as reparations payment.
