Andrea Rush began her career at New York City Ballet in Individual Giving, working in the Ballet Guild, and has continued her work in Arts Administration and Management, in various roles across industries and sectors in Artistic Programming, Talent Recruitment & Booking, Marketing, Sales & Ticketing, Fundraising, Education, Festival Management, and Strategic Planning. Andrea has had the privilege to work with and for many organizations among them Broadway Across America, The Constella Festival of Music and Fine Arts, Dark Horse Recording, Distinguished Concerts International New York, a presenting series held at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center and Disney Concert Hall, The Hive Strategic Marketing/Brown Forman Account, Nashville Symphony and Paper Mill Playhouse.
Andrea’s background includes both dance and music. Academically as an undergraduate she studied music as a vocal performance major/piano minor, before discovering her love for research, primarily Early Tudor and French music, Serialism and Music Cognition, while studying abroad at Keble and Christ Church Colleges at Oxford University. Some of her most prized possessions over the years have been related to her research, which she still holds very dear to her heart, among which is the discography she created for New York City Ballet. Most recently Andrea has received her Masters degree in Arts Administration from the College-Conservatory of Music where she was a Graduate Assistant for the department. Andrea will also receive her MBA from the University of Cincinnati in December of 2013. Andrea is the President, CEO & Principal Consultant of The Culture Consultants a boutique consulting firm, with a client portfolio in five US markets. Andrea has been thrilled to be working with ARCOS Dance since the late spring of 2013, and is the acting Director of Development.
