Katie Hopkins, founding member of ARCOS Dance, holds a BA in dance from Columbia College Chicago and is currently based in Austin, TX. She has toured extensively with ARCOS in the states and UK and assists the directors on choreographic commissions. She has performed and studied with artists including Joe Goode, Bill T. Jones, David Dorfman, Darrell Jones, and Kathleen Hermesdorf. She choreographs for the ten-time world champion Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps as well as marching bands and color guards nationwide. Katie is invested in physicality and authenticity of movement through performance, teaching, dance-making, and improvisation.
